John C. Marshall
Mr. Marshall is responsible for client relations, contract preparation, developing the scope of the assignment, program analysis, design oversight, coordination of the architectural, interior design, and professional consulting teams, project budgets, technical specifications, bid / contract documents, and construction administration.
Mr. Marshall has assisted Campus Apartments and New Horizons Housing in the renovation of existing student housing through thoughtful planning and design in creating a new enhanced living environment at their affiliated university campuses. His design portfolio also includes many successful residential projects in the tri-state area. He has a working relationship with many local municipalities and has a comprehensive understanding of the code requirements for which each governs.
Mr. Marshall has coordinated such successful projects as the Wilmington Surgicenter for Christiana care health Services and the Johns Hopkins at Whitemarsh Medical Office Building. He is responsible for renovations to the Young Scholars Charter School, Designer’s Court for Teramics Corporation and tenant improvements for the Philadelphia Suburban Development Corporation. He has also provided the leadership on design teams for telecommunication facilities for AT&T and Comcast. Mr. Marshall also assisted in establishing land development plans for Pennsbury Village in Chadds Ford, PA and Maple Commons in Pennsauken, NJ.
Mr. Marshall attended Drexel University where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree. He is a Registered Architect in fourteen states with National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB) certification and membership and is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Mr. Marshall was an active member of the Lake Naomi/Timber Trails Architectural Review Committee in the Pocono Pines, PA and is an active member of the Haverford Township Historic Commission.
Michael D. Cole
Mr. Cole has extensive experience with single family and multi-familly residential design projects. He has been involved with award winning residential design projects for Centex Homes, David Cutler Group, Larken Associates, and K. Hovnanian Companies.
In addition, Mr. Cole has experience in diverse design projects including municipal facilities and interior space planning for commercial centers, educational facilities, religious buildings, correctional environments, and medical office spaces. He has had key responsibilities in the successful completion of the Valley Forge Fire Company Sub-Station and the Therapeutic Riding Rink at Melmark.
Mr. Cole has provided the leadership and coordination on many design projects for the Philadelphia Suburban Development Corporation including tenant improvements, charter schools, and day care facilities. He also has established an outstanding working relationship with local community code review authorities.
Mr. Cole attended Norwich University where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree. He is a Registered Architect with National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB) certification, is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). He is also certified by the Construction Specifications Institute as a Documents Technologist (CDT). He is registered in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
John DiNuovo
Mr. DiNuovo has over twenty years of professional experience in architecture. As an Associate, Mr. DiNuovo is responsible for documentation coordination of specific client projects, the development of technical specifications, and project construction administration. Mr. DiNuovo provides code analysis and quality assurance oversight for constructability and consultant documentation on marshall sabatini, pc residential, commercial, educational, and institutional projects.
In addition, he has an extensive background in developing construction documentation detailing and coordination of contract documents. He also has expertise in providing total professional services during the contract bidding and negotiation, managing owner/builder/architect construction meetings, field coordination with the builder, consultant coordination, shop drawing/sample review, and AIA document review and approval. He is well versed in understanding national, state, and municipality design and construction codes. With Mr. DiNuovo’s guidance, the firm has provided peer reviews for numerous clients.
Mr. DiNuovo has been involved in a leadership capacity in coordinating design and documentation on single and multi-family projects. He also has experience on many diverse design assignments such as student housing, higher education facilities, research labs, adult congregate care, retail centers, and tenant office space.
Mr. DiNuovo has been instrumental in the coordination of the design and documentation of projects for Devereux Foundation, Melmark, Vistaloft Student Apartments, Delanco Township Municipal Building, Centex Homes, David cutler Group, Larken Associates, K. Hovnanian Companies, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Georgia Campus and Philadelphia Campus.
Working in consort with government guidelines and standards, Mr. DiNuovo has provided the leadership on design teams for urban infill affordable housing projects in Trenton and Newark, NJ.
Mr. DiNuovo attended temple University where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree.
J.L. (Jim) Leigh
Mr. Leigh brings over thirty-seven years of professional experience to marshall sabatini, pc. He leads all aspects of architectural design including campus planning, space programming, health care facility master planning, university campus site planning, schematic design, design documentation, construction documentation and construction administration for healthcare, higher education, research labs, senior living facilities, commercial retail projects, physician office suite design, athletic facility design, and outpatient ambulatory care buildings.
Mr. Leigh is responsible for creative and functional design, as well as quality control of all planning and design work. His understanding of strategic issues, coupled with an operational orientation, enables him to effectively lead in this process.Select Client Experience:

Carolyn Addis
Ms. Addis brings over seven years of professional experience to
marshall sabatini, pc. As Project Coordinator, she is responsible for oversight of specific client projects, coordination of architectural documents with team members and consultants, contract preparation, shop drawing review, and construction administration. She is also involved in all stages of construction documentation, including schematic design, design development, and construction detailing.
In addition, Ms. Addis has experience creating 3D color renderings, which help clients market their projects to consumers. She has extensive AutoCAD experience and can easily adapt to a client’s unique documentation standards when required.
Ms. Addis has substantial experience with single family and multi-family residential design projects, including both new construction as well as renovations and additions to existing structures. She has been involved with projects for Orleans Homebuilders, Centex Homes, Pulte Homes, Philadelphia Suburban Development Corporation, Larken Associates, and Campus Apartments. She has also worked on many projects in the Main Line and Pocono areas.
As Project Manager for Orleans Homebuilders, Ms. Addis’ work was vital to the success of a 15,600 sf clubhouse for their Hillview Community. She worked closely with the structural engineer, MPE engineer, civil engineer, and interior designer to provide one cohesive design that both met the client’s needs and budget.
Ms. Addis attended Philadelphia University where she earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree with a minor in Business. She is a Registered Architect in the state of Pennsylvania.
Tim O'Kane
Mr. O'Kane brings over seven years of professional experience to
marshall sabatini, pc with a background primarily in healthcare design. As Project Coordinator, he has been involved in all facets of the design process, from planning and schematic design, through construction documentation and administration. He has worked on a wide variety of project sizes, both new construction and renovations.
Mr. O'Kane has extensive experience with AutoCad and is strongly skilled in Revit and various rendering programs. His talent in 3d modeling allows him to quickly create computer models of any size project, providing his clients with the unique opportunity to visualize forms and spaces during the earlier stages of design.
His projects of note include the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Atlantic City Campus expansion and renovation, the Hoboken University Medical Center Emergency Department addition, and numerous projects for the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Mr. O'Kane received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Philadelphia University in 2005. He has been a member of the Adjunct Faculty at Moore College of Art and Design since 2007, where he teaches AutoCad and 3d modeling to interior design students. He has completed NCARB’s Intern Development Program (IDP) and is currently participating in the Architectural Registration Exam series.
Julie Bruner
Ms. Bruner brings over seven years of professional experience to
marshall sabatini, pc. As Project Coordinator, she is responsible for specific client relations, as well as such tasks as contract preparation, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, coordination of architectural documents with team members and consultants, shop drawing review, and construction administration.
Ms. Bruner managed many successful projects for Centex Homes, including single family homes, townhomes, and condominiums. She has been involved with custom residential work in the Main Line area, including the award winning townhomes at 110 West Montgomery Avenue in Ardmore, PA. This project was the recipient of the 2006 Lower Merion Historical Architectural Review Board’s Historic Preservation Award for Compatible New Construction. She was also involved with the renovation of a historic Victorian home in Gladwyne, PA. For over two years she worked closely with the building’s owners, contractor, and structural engineer to ensure that the work was done properly and that it stayed true to the original style of the home.
In addition, Ms. Bruner has worked on projects for Pulte Homes, Orleans Homebuilders, Melmark, Ocean Health Initiatives, Philadelphia Suburban Development Corporation, and Campus Apartments. She is currently working on several residential addition and renovation projects in the Main Line and Pocono areas.
