Concept, Design & Process
At Marshall Sabatini, we’re excited when our clients ask us to grow with them. This fast growing logistics company needed a corporate headquarters that would consolidate the employees at several regional offices into a single space. They decided to construct a new state-of-the-art building that would be five times larger than their existing 12,000 square feet of office space, spread among multiple locations. The building would serve as a professional location in which they could meet with clients, and serve the needs of their 24/7 operation.
An international client base means this company’s workforce will occupy the building around the clock. For this reason, they asked our firm to include features that would benefit their employees, such as a lounge area, gym, and cafeteria in the design.
The two-story professional building has clean lines with brick and ribbon glazing. Our biggest challenge in this project was to meet various code requirements while preserving the aesthetics of the open atrium, which the client considered to be the “wow factor” of the building. In the atrium, the upper level lounge area overlooks the reception space below it, which is completed with a water feature.
