Concept, Design & Process
Instead of building a new structure as part of its expansion plans, PCOM had discovered a 150,000 square foot warehouse building inside an industrial site. They had a master plan, which included utilizing part of the building for the medical school and developing the rest of the building in later phases. Marshall Sabatini came in during a later phase and developed the design for the entire school of pharmacy and provided construction administration services. PCOM already had built a library; so it didn’t need to recreate every part of a school, but we helped PCOM build labs, more lecture halls, classrooms, and other communal spaces. Marshall Sabatini addressed the practical needs of the pharmacy school while making the interior of an industrial structure feel modern, warm, and inviting to students.
