Concept, Design & Process
We were asked to revitalize an existing one-story, storage garage into a vibrant three-story condominium building with a roof top terrace. The terrace needed to be designed in away so that one would have unobstructed views of Center City from it. The client was open to breaking the traditional look of the block, so Marshall Sabatini created a contemporary building utilizing a stucco and metal panel exterior skin. This approach was successful because and we included elements in the design that were complementary to the surrounding structures. Not only was the exterior well received by the community, but the interior layout and roof top terrace impressed prospective residents: all three condos were rented before construction was completed.
