Concept, Design & Process
Marshall Sabatini has collaborated with the builder, JP Orleans, on several residential projects. This project for the Spring Oak community showcases how environment and lifestyles are affected by design. The townhomes were designed by us within the guidelines provided by Charlestown Township. The guidelines were intended to build a sense of community within the neighborhood. We worked closely with the Township’s Design Review Committee to ensure that the character and charm met or exceeded the guidelines set forth.
By designing these homes close to a sidewalk, it gives them the look of an older, long-established neighborhood. Each townhome features a large front porch to help encourage social interaction with fellow neighbors. Garage access is at the rear, so that the pedestrian character of the front streetscape is preserved. Any masonry used on the front is also carried along the side of the building, to enhance the time-honored aesthetic of traditional materials. For the floor plans, we created four different interior layouts from which customers could choose.
