Concept, Design & Process
The client had a general sense of the beach house design features he wanted to include here. In order to get a better sense of the desired layout, Marshall Sabatini spent time touring the surrounding beach community and noting the architectural features the client felt should be implemented.
This home incorporated many distinctive details, including an octagon-shaped terret that housed a first-floor dining room, a second-floor master suite, and a 10-foot first-floor ceiling. Varied ceiling heights throughout the second floor of the home were added for interest. Nice finishes on the inside such as wood wainscoting and deep cornices achieved a sophisticated, customized look throughout.
